Translations

Poczta Miejska w Żarkach = City post in Żarki.

The name of the town is Żarki. In the Polish language, a noun is declined in the sixth (the locative) case when the preposition "in" ("w" in Polish) is used. Since it is a plural noun, "in Żarki" is declined as "w Żarkach".

Forgeries

Forgeries of Żarki stamps are plentiful!
In the genuine stamps, the first person in the group of three is in standing position, while in forgeries this person looks more like he's kneeling. Besides, the paper in the genuine stamps is white under ultraviolet light.
For a more detailed and illustrated description about how to determine an original Żarki stamp from a forgery, go to Andre Mongeon's Local Issues page or go to his Stamps of Poland homepage.
