Local Przedbórz stamps were issued during World War I by the municipal authorities under the authority of the Austrian military commander. During World War I, civilian mail in Przedbórz was dealt with by the Austrian military post office (Etappenpostamt) on the Końsk railway station. A local post office was set up by the Austrian army, which also provided the couriers.
