General duty

Polish revenue stamps for general duty
Year of issue: 1924

The hyperinflation of after war years was overcome with introduction of a new currency. The old Fenigów and Marek are now replaced by Groszy and Złoty. 1 Złoty = 100 Groszy = 0.1687 grams of gold (złoty means "golden").
The design of this series is similar to the first general duty revenues issue from 1920. The Groszy issues are blue and the Złoty issues are brown. Perforation 11½.
