Glossary

Janów Podlaski is a town in East-Poland near the Belarus border with Poland's most famous stud farm, specialising in the rearing of thoroughbred Arab horses. It was established by Czar Alexander I in 1817.
A stallion is an ungelded male horse after reaching the age of sexual maturity, usually between two and three years of age who can be used for breeding.
