The Russian cosmonaut Valery Bykovsky flew in spacecraft Vostok 5 from 14 until 19 July 1963.
Valentina Tereshkova was the first woman in space. She flew in spacecraft Vostok 6 from 16 until 19 July 1963. It was the world's second joint space flight.
