Ostrołęka is a town northeast of Warsaw.
In Ostrołęka, Generalgouvernement Warschau overprints (Michel 6-10 and 12-16) were additionally overprinted "Polska", "Poczta" and two thick bars. The overprints are black. Two types of Ostrołęka overprints were produced for local use, known as Ostrołęka I, 18 x 18¾ mm in size, and Ostrołęka II, 18 x 20 mm in size.
